Rhodesian Boots

Postby richardtl » Sun Mar 03, 2019 5:03 pm

The Rhodesians wore mainly 4 types of footwear.

1) The PT takkies (sneakers) which were black ankle high sneakers similar to Dixies or Converse.

2) Vellies, which are similar to the Bata Safari's

3) Heavy weight combat boots

4) Light weight combat boots

5) Anti trackers which were similar to the PT takkies but had smoot soles.

Heavy weight boots, note the double buckle, smooth pig leather, double stitching over toe cap, the purple coloured laces and MARS soles (many thanks to Alex for helping me acquire these)

Light weight combat boots, note the double buckle, smooth pig leather, double stitching over unsupported toe cap and soles
